ABOUT

The Arizona Homeschool Science and Engineering Fair (AHSEF), was established in 2011 by Dr. Rebecca Thai, with the aim of providing homeschool students in Arizona a platform to showcase their scientific and engineering talents. This fair serves as a unique opportunity for homeschoolers to participate in a competitive yet supportive environment, fostering their interest and passion for science and engineering.

HOW is AHSEF UNIQUE?

  • Feedback & evaluation

Participating in AHSEF allows students to receive feedback and evaluation from expert judges. This constructive criticism helps students refine their ideas, improve their projects, and develop a deeper understanding of their chosen subject matter.

  • Platform for exploration

AHSEF provides a platform for students to explore their interests in science and engineering. By participating in the fair, students are encouraged to delve into topics they find intriguing, whether it's robotics, environmental science, chemistry, or any other field within STEM.

  • independent thinking

The fair encourages independent thinking and problem-solving. Students are tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and executing their projects, fostering creativity and critical thinking skills as they navigate the scientific process on their own.
